Who we are

Our Vision

In a world full of injustice, inequality and violence, our obligation to secure the self-evident, and that is the right to live with dignity, has become an urgent calling.

Our main goal is to cover basic human needs, such as housing, food and medical care.

A Non-Profit Organization

Medical Intervention was established in Athens on 8 March 2004. It is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization under the distinctive name: Medical Intervention (Medin).

We provide humanitarian emergency assistance and development aid to populations of developing countries and to people within Greece, in order to tackle severe humanitarian issues and to support them socially and financially; as well as to contribute to the reduction of poverty.

We have always been in places where needs are urgent: in Azerbaijan, Serbia, Albania, but also in Greece, close to vulnerable people and groups.

Statute

Our main targets, specifically mentioned in our articles of association, are:

The organization’s activities are based on mutual collaboration with both scientific, state, European and international organizations, as well as individuals, provided they do not contravene the ideology and aims of the organization and that these activities will never, even indirectly, become for-profit.

Our criteria for intervention are strictly to meet health and other basic human needs.

The organization’s action remains independent of local and international political interests and is not involved in any disputes.
